Hand Pain Trigger Finger.

Shockwave Therapy non-surgical and non-cortisone treatments for hand pain and trigger finger?   Often our hand pain treatments involve a combination of:

  • Low Level Laser Therapy and /or Acupuncture – to reduce any active inflammation or swelling either from trauma, repetitive strain or rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Shockwave Therapy – This incredibly effective for hand pain, this technology is used to break up scar tissue and adhesions around the finger tendons along the finger and in the palm. Once the scar tissue has been removed the finger tendons will glide through the sheath without catching, providing relief for your annoying and sometimes painful trigger finger
  • The Dupuytrens contracture video below has a similar protocol to that of Trigger finger.

Hand Pain Trigger Finger.

  • Finger Exercises and Stretches – We have developed an exercise program to help strengthen the fingers and expand the sheath (tunnel) that sits around the finger tendons, improving tendon strength and length.
  • Manual Therapy and /or Mobilizations – For hand pain and trigger pain we often manually align the joints in the hands or fingers while you perform the finger exercises, this helps with re-alignment of the joints and helps them to move normally again.

Additional therapies we offer for hand pain and trigger finger include: • Acupuncture • Ice/Heat (Depending on stage and inflammatory factors involved) Ultrasound and /or K – Laser Therapy.
